Shop Hair-RegenJohn Burns Jr. is a product entrepreneur, global sourcing veteran and marketplace operator who has spent two decades turning overlooked opportunities into products, brands and scalable businesses.
John began traveling to China and sourcing directly from factories in 2006—long before private-label e-commerce became a mainstream playbook. His experience was earned in factories, showrooms, negotiations, container planning and the difficult details between a product idea and inventory that actually arrives ready to sell.
He has attended nearly 20 live Amazon seminars, while learning an equally important lesson: gurus give away breadcrumbs, not complete operating systems. John built his own. Today he personally directs opportunity research, product psychology, supplier negotiation, packaging, creative strategy, listing architecture, PPC systems, inventory planning, freight, FBA operations and the recovery work required when marketplace systems break.
As founder and owner of OIG Brands, he manages a portfolio spanning dozens of brands and projects, hundreds of SKUs and multiple active seller accounts. His playbooks include listing optimization, customer-avatar development, advertising SOPs, conversion-focused image direction and AI-supported operating systems—while warehouse, freight and fulfillment execution remain grounded in hands-on human judgment.
John also helped build and manage Kangaroo and Giraffe Manufacturing for nearly five years. Across owned and partner-brand activity, the businesses represent approximately $90 million in cumulative marketplace revenue experience, supported by a team of more than 20.
Technology accelerates the work. Human judgment decides what matters. OIG’s team of more than 20 combines hands-on product knowledge, supplier relationships, customer insight and operational experience with AI-supported research, content, forecasting and workflow automation.
Retail buyers need more than a good product. They need clear economics, dependable supply, professional product data and a team that can execute after the first order.
